The first time I donated plasma, yoga showed up unexpectedly.

When the nurse asked about my posture, I shared alignment cues for Tadasana (Mountain Pose). Soon, three nurses joined in, finding their fullest expression of the pose.

Yoga isn’t about perfection or context—it’s about connection. Joining your breath and movement is yoga, whether it’s one pose or three minutes.

This moment reminded me how yoga can show up anywhere!

Preparing for my appearance on the @fempreneurtrueconfessions podcast in February 2025 was the first time I acknowledged some themes from the most difficult times in my first five years as a small business owner.

They are:

1 – Accepting what’s happening and what’s not happening.

2 – Asking for money in a way that feels authentic to me and honours how my work can bring value to my clients and those around them.

3 - Asking for help from others and myself.

4 – Accepting help from others and myself.

5 – Acting in the moment and in the future.

FIRE can be a practical tool for acknowledging themes and patterns in difficult times. We can practice managing it in Chair pose.

FLOW can be a practical tool for developing long-term, healthy habits while managing momentum and forward motion. We can practice finding it in Sun Salutations.
